Here at KMPL we love housing but we consider ourselves particularly lucky to be able to contribute to social housing programmes across the region.
Both the Pilbara and Kimberley are desperately short of affordable housing and most towns are desperately short of housing generally and social housing specifically.
As an innovating company we are working hard to promote cost and more particularly time saving methods – it’s an exciting time to be in the industry with new products and methods arising to meet the challenges of cost and climate change.
We’ve recently added additional profiles widths to our framing, now offering the traditional north 75mm, alongside the nationally popular 90mm and emerging 150mm profile – a component of many commercial jobs.
The larger profiles allow for greater thermal and sound insulation as well as offering excellent structural strength.
These fine social housing units in Kununurra were constructed by valued customer Kullarri Building, another Indigenous company delivering a quality product and building up the community through employment and investment.
Hats off to Kullarri Building for delivering great products across the Kimberley and thanks for choosing the KM steel system for your builds.
And congrats also to our local member of parliament Divina D’Anna who is pushing the state government to prioritise investment in the region to address the issues that are holding the community back.
